Maria M. Rodriguez
Maria Muñoz Rodriguez, 89, of Sabinal died on April 27, 2024, at her residence.
She was born on Sept. 12, 1934, in Sabinal to Ester (Muñoz) and Aureliano C. Rodriguez.
Her family said she was a loving aunt and a sweet soul who loved her family dearly. They said she will be missed greatly by family and friends.
She is survived by her brother, Alfredo M. Rodriguez of Sabinal; five nieces, Diana Pesina and Elizabeth Hernandez both of Uvalde, Cynthia Espinoza and husband, Joe, of Kerrville, Anita Rodriguez Mendoza of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Jessica Rodriguez Thomas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; four nephews, Albert Hernandez, Jr. and wife, Maritza, of Cypress, Francisco Rodriguez Jr. and wife, Nicole, of Watertown, Wisconsin, and Jaime Rodriguez and Jesse Rodriguez, both of Waukesha, Wisconsin, as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, and great- great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Florencia “Mencha” Rodriguez and Angelita Hernandez and husband, Alberto; and two brothers, Monseis Rodriguez and Francisco Rodriguez and wife, Guadalupe.
Visitation was held on April. 30 from 2 to 9 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal where a rosary was recited at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass was celebrated May 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
