Mary R. Farley

Mary Rose Farley, 74, of Kerrville died on Feb. 18, 2019, in Kerrville.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1944, in Charlotte to Mary Ann and Martin Dougherty. She attended school in Jourdanton.

She lived in Uvalde for many years, and her son, Jimmy, and daughter, Kristina, both graduated from Uvalde High School.

She worked at the JC Penney store until it closed, then worked as an office administrator at Unifirst Uniform Services in Uvalde before transferring to their Kerrville office. She worked for Unifirst for 27 years.

She was preceded in death by both parents; one sister; and one brother.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jesse Odell of Kerrville; four children, James “Jimmy” Farley and wife, Monica, of Hondo, and Kristina Miller and husband, Martin, Chance Odell and wife, Mary, and Candice Brown and husband, Guy, all of Texas; two brothers, Junior and Willie Dougherty, both of Jourdanton; three sisters, Bessie Petrosky, Frankie Fisher and Helen Sue Stewart, all of Texas; and six grandchildren, Derrick Miller, Dalton Miller, Brandon Miller, Brittany King, Jarrett King and Cody King.

A memorial service was held on Feb. 23, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.
