Mitchell L. Hutchison III

Mitchell “Hutch” Lee Hutchison III, 42, of Lakehills died on Aug. 10, 2022, Christus Santa Rosa Hospital Westover Hills in San Antonio.

He was born on July 26, 1980, in Carrizo Springs, Texas to Brenda (Burleson) and Mitchell Lee Hutchison Jr.

He was raised in Uvalde.

His family and friends say he cooked the best barbecue chicken legs. They said he loved unconditionally and full-heartedly, and he always made time for them and blessed them with uplifting words of love in person and on the phone.

He loved music and playing the guitar, fishing, playing golf and creating artistic pictures and sculptures. He enjoyed listening to his records and thrift shopping with his mother.

He is survived by his mother, of Lakehills; son, Corgan Hutchison and his mother, Casey Weber, of Heath; two sisters, Angela Mills and husband, Barry, of Lubbock, and Jozlin Parker and husband, Chris, of Boerne; four nephews and nieces, Zachary Steinbruck and wife, Kristina, Jeremy Steinbruck and wife, Fatima Javed, Shelby Mills and husband, Nic McMurrine, and Micah Parker; great-nephew, Roman Steinbruck; great-niece Izzy McMurrine; six aunts, Benita Lane of Pipe Creek, Rose Sanford of Kerrville, Josh Scheide of Seattle, Sharon Sweeney of New Baden, Illinois, Sherrell Moran of Marietta, Oklahoma, and Marsha Myers of Forney; uncle, Sam Lane of Pipe Creek; and multiple cousins and friends that he loved like family.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Goldie and Jay McGuffin and Thelma and Mitchell Hutchison Sr.; and two uncles, Arlie Carson and Max Burleson.

A graveside service was held Aug. 13, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Leakey Floral Cemetery, with Skip Marks serving as officiant.

Pallbearers were Zach Steinbruck, Jeremy Steinbruck, Kristina Steinbruck, Chris Parker, Micah Parker, Josh Rihn, Jody Rihn and Kannen Rihn.

Honorary pallbearers were Sam Lane and Barry Mills.
