Pregnancy resource center opens

Anderson House Pregnancy Resource Center of Carrizo Springs has opened a satellite office in Uvalde, offering free pregnancy tests and parenting classes.

The Uvalde office opened on Wednesday, March 4, at 105 N. Piper Lane. Office hours run Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“We are here to help hurting families in our area, especially those affected by an unplanned pregnancy. Our free educational classes are geared towards moms and dads who desire more information on topics such as pregnancy, infants, toddlers, parenting and life skills,” said executive director Debbie Moore.

The organization also provides material assistance with baby care items.

The pro-life faith-based non-profit 501 (3)(c) organization has been open in Carrizo Springs since 2016.

No appointment is necessary. For more information, see www.andersonhouseprc.org or call 830-900-5080.

A ribbon cutting will be held on March 20 at noon.
