Sherrill Luvon “Boots” Moore of Canyon Lake, Texas, passed away on July 22, 2022, in Wimberley, Texas, at the age of 86. 

He was born on Nov. 25, 1935, in Datto, Arkansas to Ewell and Ossil Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Joyce Parker Moore.

Boots was loved by so many, always making people laugh, and quick to serve others who were in need. He loved God with all of his heart and led his family, alongside his amazing wife, Joyce, in the way of the Lord. Boots rarely met a stranger, and when he did they became fast friends. His life was full and his legacy will live on in those who knew and loved him.

 He is survived by his three sons: Terry Moore and wife Raydean of Wimberley, Texas; Mitchell Moore of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Jeff Moore and wife Stacey of Sherwood, Arkansas. 

He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Brad Moore (and wife, Amy) of Dripping Springs, Texas; Josh Moore (and wife, Jessica) of Buda, Texas; Katie Moore Boehme (and husband, Mark) of Austin, Texas; Logan Moore of Washington, D.C.; Tomas Moore of Beeville, Texas; Samantha Moore of Cedar Park, Texas; and McKenna and Magdalen Moore of Sherwood, Arkansas. 

Boots is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Caroline and Margot Moore, Jameson and Evan Moore, and Finley and Wesley Boehme.

Services are under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Visitation will be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Funeral Home in Uvalde, Texas, on Friday, July 29th from 6-9 p.m. 

The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 30th at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home, with the interment immediately following at the La Pryor Cemetery.
