UYRC hosts final points night

The Uvalde Youth Rodeo Club conducted its third and final points-night competition of the season last Tuesday night in the Uvalde County Arena at the Fairplex.

Results from the event will be reported in next Sunday’s edition of the Uvalde Leader-News.

The UYRC’s Year End Rodeo is scheduled for one week from Saturday. It will be a one-day event.

As a preface to the rodeo on July 22, the UYRC will host a breakaway and calf-roping jackpot event on July 21 in the arena.

Action will get underway at 7 p.m.

The four events will include 12-year-olds and under age division coed breakaway roping, 15-year-olds and up girls breakaway roping, ladies open division breakaway roping, and handicap tie-down roping. On Aug. 1, the UYRC Awards Banquet will be conducted.
