Retirees Efrain Nevarez and Raul Valdez are two of three candidates seeking the Republican Party’s nomination for Precinct 1 Commissioner. Valdez was previously employed at Uvalde Memorial Hospital Neither Nevarez nor Valdez requested an interview with the newspaper for a candidate announcement.

David Falcon is the sole person seeking the Uvalde County Democratic Party’s nomination for Pct. 1 Commissioner. Falcon, who operates Falcon Affordable Appliances at 309 N. Getty St., did not seek an interview with the newspaper.

    Anthony Mark Silva and incumbent Mariano Pargas Jr. are seeking the Uvalde County Democratic Party’s nomination for Precinct 2 commissioner. Pargas currently serves as the precinct’s commissioner, while Silva works in oil field gas measurements. Neither candidate interviewed with the newspaper for a candidate announcement.
