Alithia’s book launch set Oct. 12

Alithia’s Art Angels, an organization started in remembrance of Robb Elementary School shooting victim Alithia Ramirez, will present prizes in its second-annual art contest on Oct. 12 at El Progreso Memorial Library during a book launch for “Alithia Ramirez was an Artist.”

Grief support group meets weekly

Sales tax revenue up for city, county this month

This month, sales tax payments allocated to the city of Uvalde were up by more than 10 percent while Uvalde County’s allocation was 19 percent higher than in September of 2022. Beach cleanup honors Maite

Volunteers are needed for a South Padre Island adopt-a-beach cleanup event set Sept. 23 in honor of Maite Rodriguez, who died as a result of the May 24 tragedy at Robb Elementary.
