Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District has undergone many changes in the past year, due in large part to a new superintendent and passing of the tax ratification election that netted the school district an additional $2.4 million. Roughly half of the money, $1.2 million, was allocated for teacher pay raises. Thirty-three percent of the money, or $797,793, was allocated for repairs to facilities and 17 percent, or $408,000, was earmarked for new technology.
