Louise Ohlenbusch

Louise Emma Henrietta Helbig Ohlenbusch, aged 94, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother left her earthly body on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, to be reunited with her beloved husband, Carl, in their heavenly mansion that was prepared for them by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Knippa, Uvalde, Texas. She and Carl were united in Holy Matrimony in Knippa, Texas, and were married for 53 years. After Louise’s retirement from the Veterans Administration, in Houston, Texas, they moved to Centerville, Leon, Texas, where she was very active at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Before moving to Centerville, Louise and Carl lived in Houston, Texas, Beeville, Texas, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Uvalde, Texas. She is survived by daughters, Linda Ohlenbusch Phillips of Katy, Texas, and Melba Ohlenbusch Carter, and husband Michael Carter of Mounds, Oklahoma; brother, Lawrence C. Helbig, and wife Gladys of San Marcos, Texas; one sister, Lorene Helbig Gremmel of Uvalde, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Gottlieb Ohlenbusch in 1993; her son, Karl Clint Ohlenbusch in 2000; a brother, Herbert Helbig in 2012; granddaughter, Rachel Ohlenbusch in 2012; and her parents, William A. and Ida Helbig. She will be laid to rest in the family plot at the Lutheran Church Cemetery in Knippa, Texas, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014, with Rev. Donald Olson, Jr. officiating.
