Flores is new UHS softball coach

Former Uvalde High School and St. Mary’s University softball standout Arlynda Flores is the new head softball coach at UHS. She was a 2006 UHS graduate.
Arlynda Flores is the new head softball coach at Uvalde High School. Though new to the UHS coaching staff, Flores is not new to Uvalde. Flores, a 2006 graduate of UHS, was a good student and a standout softball player through her four years of high school. “It’s exciting to get the head softball coaching job here at Uvalde High School,” said Flores. “This is a coaching position that I have thought about a lot through the years.” Flores said that she was a little apprehensive, at first, about pursuing the UHS softball position. “I think I was a little shy at first about going for the Uvalde job because of the high expectations,” said Flores. “During the years that I played for Uvalde High School, my teammates and I enjoyed a lot of success.
