James ‘Frank’ Scott

James Franklin “Frank” Scott, 84, of Uvalde died on July 6, 2014, in San Antonio. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. He was born on March 2, 1930, in Uvalde to Lily Ann Mitchell Scott and James William “Willie” Scott. He married Eva “Lucille” Field on May 24, 1952, in Uvalde. She preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 2014. Scott retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service and was a Korean Conflict veteran. He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Postell and husband, Henry, of Gillette, Wyoming; three sons, James Arthur Scott and wife, Melissa, of Canyon Lake and Dennis Charles Scott and wife, Carolyn, and Robert Scott and wife, Jenny, all of Uvalde; one sister, Ella Ruth Brice of Spring; two brothers, Clifford Joe Scott of Montell and Raymond W. Scott of Uvalde; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jack Mitchell Scott and David Fred Scott; one sister, Barbara Ann Scott Champagne; and one granddaughter, Shea Scott.
