Cook asks for bond reduction

Cel’ves Nel Cook has requested a bond reduction. He has been incarcerated at the Uvalde County Jail since January, after he was arrested on capital murder charges in connection with the 2011 murder of 4-year-old Davaughn Rodriguez. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 9. In documents filed in the 38th Judicial District clerk’s office in the Uvalde County Courthouse, public defender Keri Mallon claims that Cook is being illegally confined by the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Office.
