Flores Middle students attend necropsy
by CHARLEY ROBINSON
Three hundred-plus students at Flores Middle School got a close-up view of a deer necropsy last Friday.
Seventh-grade students witnessed veterinarian Bill Dittmar as he went through the process; during the procedure, he instructed students on the functions of each organ of the animal and how they relate to each other.
Flores science teacher Kayla Krueger said “deer on the half-shell” instruction was introduced last year, and this demonstration was scheduled to wrap up the lesson.
