School district votes to stiff UCAD

One month did not change the outcome of the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District’s decision regarding payment to the Uvalde County Appraisal District. The board voted 4-3 Monday night to reject making the $25,512 prorated payment to UCAD.

At the April board meeting, trustees tabled the issue. This month, it came to a vote with board member Willie Edwards making the motion to approve the UCAD request. Javier Flores, who is a UCISD trustee and also on the UCAD board of directors, seconded the motion.
