Musician Eddy Raven is Concan bound

Louisiana native Eddy Raven will bring his musical talent to Concan this month for a performance at House Pasture Cattle Co.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for the Saturday, May 27 show. Tickets, $25, are available online at www.housepasture.com.

Raven has a decades-long career in the music industry. According to his publicist, he has been writing and playing a mixture of rock, country, Cajun and blues since he was a teenager.

In addition to his own hits, he has written songs for Roy Orbison, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Tanya Tucker, Chris LeDoux, Lorrie Morgan, Gene Watson, Johnny Cash and others. He recently co-wrote Toby Keith’s “Cabo San Lucas” with Keith.

He has received 30 American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (better known as ASCAP) awards for songwriting. He has 22 albums and seven number-one songs, and 14 others that landed in the top 10.

The Nashville-area resident writes, records and tours year-round. He stays occupied with his 11 dogs, music, and a retaining wall company he co-owns.

House Pasture Cattle Company is located on River Road in Concan.
