Children learn it’s not easy being quail

Children tried to sneak up on butterflies, caterpillars, and spiders – all things quail hunt daily – but after several minutes they shook out their empty nets and agreed with wildlife specialist Maureen Frank when she said a quail’s meal is hard to catch.

El Progreso Memorial Library began the month-long quail appreciation program on July 7 with special Texas A&M Extension guests Amanda Gobeli, Samantha Korzekwa, and Frank.
