Manuel Gonzalez Vara Jr., 85, of Uvalde died on Dec. 8, 2020, at his residence. A graveside service is scheduled Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. A complete obituary appeared on Page 6 of the Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, edition of the Uvalde Leader-News.

William Harvey McKinzie, 86, of Uvalde died May 2, 2022, at Saunders Senior Living in Uvalde. Visitation will will take place Saturday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, where a funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Uvalde Leader-News.
