Elia Hinojosa, 77, of Uvalde died on March 18, 2019, in Uvalde.

A rosary will be recited today at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemtery.

She was born on March 22, 1941, in Uvalde to Lydia (Acosta) and Alfonso Quiroga.

She married Andres Hinojosa in November of 1962 in Uvalde.

Hinojosa is survived by her husband of 56 years; and son, Andres Hinojosa III, both of Uvalde; sister, Rosa Ortiz of Pearsall; three nieces, Olga De Leon, Maricela De Leon and Roxanne Ortiz; two nephews, Rafael Ortiz and Raymond Ortiz; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alfonso Quiroga Jr.; and sister, Santa De Leon.
