Twelve-year-old London Gorham of Cotulla and her horse brandish the American flag through falling hail at the Utopia Park Arena to signal the opening of the 18th-annual Utopia Ranch Rodeo, traditionally held on Memorial Day weekend. London is the daughter of professional bullfighter Shorty Gorham and granddaughter of Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame Cowboy Phil Lyne.
